The Tower of London, also known as the “bloody tower,” is one of England’s greatest mediaeval fortresses. At one point, it was also a notorious prison as well as a royal palace. Take a walk through history and immerse yourself in England’s bloody past.

You will gain knowledge of the horrifying techniques used at the Tower during the 16th and 17th centuries for torturing prisoners. Solitary confinement, brutal psychological punishments, and horrifying physical torture were all used against the prisoners.

Discover the formidable defensive structures and defensive walls that were built to protect the tower as you tour the ancient royal palaces and the fortress. Learn what it was like to serve in this confined environment as a mediaeval soldier. Meet the legendary Yeoman Warder and the famous ravens before going to Lower Wakefield Tower.
